Choosing the right lash extensions isn’t just about picking a style you like. A reference photo can be a great starting point, but the same design can look completely different from one person to another.
At Clement Lash, we customize each design around your eye shape, what your natural lashes can comfortably support, and what you’re getting your lashes for. A soft everyday set and a look designed for your wedding, for example, may call for very different choices.
Your preferences and inspiration give us a starting point. From there, we adjust the design to make it work for you.
The goal isn’t to copy a look. It’s to create the right look for you.
Start With the Look You Want
Before thinking about service names, start with how you want your lashes to look and feel.
Do you want something subtle and natural, where people notice your eyes but not necessarily your lashes? Do you want more shape and definition, with a design that changes the way your eyes are framed? Or do you love a fuller, denser lash line with more presence?
There isn’t one “best” choice. The right starting point is the result that feels most like you and fits the occasion, whether that’s an effortless everyday look or something more defined for an event.
Once you know the direction you want to go, choosing between Classic, Styling, and Volume becomes much easier.
Classic, Styling, or Volume?
Once you know the look you’re drawn to, choosing a service becomes much simpler.
Classic is a great starting point if you want a clean, natural enhancement. It adds definition while keeping the overall look light and effortless.
Styling gives us more freedom to customize. We can work with shape, texture, dimension, and different techniques to create a look around your eyes and preferences. It’s also the best place to start if you have inspiration photos, want a specific style, or simply aren’t sure what would suit you best.
Volume is for those who want more density and a fuller lash line. It allows us to create more fullness while still adjusting the shape and intensity to your features.
If you’re still unsure, start with Styling. You don’t need to make every design decision before your appointment. That’s what the consultation is for.
Your Eye Shape Changes the Design
A style name is only the starting point. A Cat Eye, Doll Eye, or Anime set shouldn’t be mapped exactly the same way on every person.
Your eye shape, eyelid structure, inner and outer corners, and the natural direction of your eyes all affect how a design will look. A length or curl that opens one person’s eyes may feel too heavy or pull another person’s eyes downward.
That’s why we adjust the shape, length, curl, and placement to work with your individual features rather than following a fixed map.
Before creating your design, we take a photo of your bare eyes and map out our initial ideas directly on the photo, including the lengths, curls, and shape we’re considering. This gives us a visual plan built around your eyes before we begin the application.
The style gives us the direction. Your eyes determine the design.
Your Natural Lashes Matter Too
Your natural lashes are the foundation of every set. Their length, thickness, density, and overall condition help determine what they can comfortably support.
Two people may bring in the same inspiration photo but have very different natural lashes. One may have enough density to create a fuller result, while another may need a lighter interpretation to protect the natural lashes and keep the set comfortable.
At Clement Lash, we don’t believe in forcing a design that your natural lashes aren’t ready to support. We adjust the length, weight, and density to create the closest version of the look you want while respecting the health of your natural lashes.
A beautiful set should never come at the expense of your natural lashes.
Bring Inspiration, Not a Blueprint
Inspiration photos are always welcome. They help us understand what catches your eye, whether it’s the shape, texture, density, length, or overall feeling of the look.
But we treat a reference photo as a starting point, not a blueprint. The person in the photo has a different eye shape, eyelid structure, and natural lash foundation, so copying the exact same lengths and mapping wouldn’t necessarily create the same result on you.
Instead, we identify what you love about the reference and translate those elements into a design that works with your own features and natural lashes.
Bring us the look you love. We’ll make it yours.
Still Not Sure? Start With Styling
If you’ve read this far and still aren’t sure what to choose, that’s completely fine. You don’t need to know your ideal curl, length, mapping, or even the exact style before you book.
Start by booking Styling. Come in with an idea, a reference photo, or simply tell us how you want to look and feel. During your consultation, we’ll look at your eyes, assess your natural lashes, understand the occasion and your preferences, and build the design from there.
If we decide during your consultation that Classic is a better fit, we can switch your service to Classic. If Volume is the better choice, we can switch to Volume instead. Your booking doesn’t lock you into Styling.
We also offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation if you’d like to meet with us before committing to a full set. But if you already know you’d like to get your lashes done, you can book the full set directly and have the consultation at the beginning of your appointment, saving you a separate trip.
Choosing the right lashes doesn’t mean knowing all the answers before your appointment. That’s what your stylist is here for.
